May 19 2005 Adeline
Adeline, a fresh graduate and new journalist with slightly jutting teeth, came to the SES office to get the Broadcast Asia exhibition material from Pam and me.
Adeline, who joined the Asia-Pacific Broadcast magazine in January, told me she studied IR in Queensland University, IR meaning "international relations". She should have studied Integrated Resort (the Singapore government's euphemism for a casino), I said. With an IR skill (as in gambling), she could get a lucrative job rolling dice or flipping cards, instead of working for a crummy publication that probably pays her peanuts.
Above narrative is just a test entry, my very first in blogging. My postings on the Web are at my personal Web site at www.bystander.homestead.com
Note: SES = Singapore Exhibition Services at Newton. I worked there for four months as PRF manager. It was a disaster.
